Marketing Project Manager

This Marketing Project Manager role is unique within PEAK6 as you will be applying your skills across the organization in our Shared Services Organization (SSO). We’re looking for a versatile “Jack/Jill/NB of all Trades” who isn’t afraid to jump in to find unique solutions or suggest new processes. You’ll specialize in planning, managing, and executing projects related to marketing campaigns, larger firm-wide projects, and some product development. You will be responsible for turning the strategy into reality by identifying all the tasks that need to be completed. You’ll strategically delegate those tasks to the appropriate team members using mindful time allocation. This role requires a high-level view of various moving parts, such as stakeholders, timelines/deadlines, and budgets, while also maintaining extreme attention to detail.


Additionally, you’ll be responsible for supporting the marketing function in merchandise, branded collateral, and more. You’ll be working day-to-day with designers, copywriters, proofreaders, video producers, and web developers to bring projects to fruition. You’re expected to work cohesively and harmoniously with all stakeholders in the organization at all levels — including executives and our founders. 


Responsibilities

  • Manage critical projects working in a highly collaborative environment with product management, technology, design, creative, and operations globally to ensure successful delivery
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the product and services offered firm-wide
  • Create and oversee project timelines, tasks/responsibilities, and deliverables for assigned projects working with various global delivery teams on implementation
  • Work alongside the marketing creative director to create project timelines and help set stakeholder expectations
  • Communicate regular project updates across all stakeholder groups
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks
  • Work with external and internal project stakeholders to define and document project scope, detailed functional, non-functional, and technical requirements, when needed
  • Collaborate with groups throughout PEAK6 to proactively manage dependencies
  • Understand, adopt, and drive PEAK6's project management processes across multiple groups
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects and work with team members to resolve issues and eliminate roadblocks
  • Cultivate a culture of team collaboration globally
  • Build and maintain external vendor relationships; create a detailed archive of past branded collateral items
  • Analyze key metrics impacting the velocity/performance /progress of initiatives
  • Focus on continuous process improvement through feedback loops, coaching, retrospectives, and individual improvement to help the team achieve optimal performance


Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in project management or related experience/Bachelor's degree
  • Previous marketing experience across different functions and campaign types
  • Has a strong background coordinating the work of development teams and deep experience using project management platforms, like Monday.com and Jira
  • Experience owning, planning, and driving complex projects across multiple teams, including the oversight of multiple project plans and key metrics, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment is critical
  • A proven ability to pivot between hands-on creation and managing long-term projects
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently in different phases
  • Effective in promoting a collaborative environment with global cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence decision-making processes and foster an environment of healthy team discussion and debate
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and can keep a team on track in meeting business objectives
  • Exposure to managing branded collateral and department budgets preferred but not required
