Senior Linux Systems Engineer
Susquehanna is looking for for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team in Sydney. This role is a varied one that will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Linux and associated hardware and software to maintain and optimise our systems. This role will provide a positive and enthusiastic candidate the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including provisioning, configuration management, virtualisation, storage, networking and more. What you’ll do
- Supporting and optimising our APAC Linux estate; the continuous improvement of our tools and pipelines to ensure that our systems scale as the company grows
- Gaining in-depth knowledge and hands on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space; OS Optimisation, NICs & kernel tuning, Core isolation
- Working with/implementing/supporting tooling/systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK and more)
- Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure (Various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast)
- Major projects in the region such as rolling out new trading platforms, deploying new solutions as required by the business and automating/enhancing what we already have in place (iterate and improve!)

What we're looking for
- A Linux engineer who puts their team first and loves collaborating as much as they love deploying great systems and understanding how things work
- Solid experience administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling - knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems is an advantage
- Solid and demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python or any other languages
- Automation focused with a proven track record of designing/delivering end to end systems and solutions
